Top 5 Netflix TV Shows

I’ve watched a fair amount of the content on Netflix over the past few years – some great, some not so great. I’ve accumulated favourites over this time and thought I’d share them with you, so here are my Top 5 Netflix TV Shows…

  1. Orphan Black

Oh. My. Gosh. I honestly love this show. I may even go as far as to say it’s my all time favourite TV show EVER. Tatiana Maslany is such an incredible actress who doesn’t get as near enough credit as she deserves. How she manages to differentiate between and create such amazing on-screen characters I do not know, but that lady deserves all the awards.

      2. Gavin and Stacey

Now if you’re anything like me, you deeply appreciate a classic British comedy series and Gavin and Stacey certainly ticks all the boxes. Ruth Jones and James Corden created three series of incredible, laugh-out-loud content that is perfect for watching back-to-back on a cosy night in. Within a couple of days you and your friends won’t be able to say ‘What’s occurring?’ without putting on a Welsh accent… trust me.

      3. Pretty Little Liars

Otherwise known as PLL, this show actually had me quite skeptical at first. I was expecting your typical teenage girl/ chick flick-esque drama, but oh how I was wrong. I admit you have to get through the first series before making any judgements, as it takes this amount of time for the show to develop. However, once you reach this point, you will be fully invested. Series 7 is currently airing and if you enjoy a horror/thriller vibe, with the accompaniment of girl drama, this show is for you.

      4. Miranda

Once again another british TV comedy is making its way into my Top 5. Her self-named show is comedy gold in my opinion, and after I was lucky enough to see her stage show I can guarantee you will laugh out loud at her antics. Alongside her best friend Stevie (Sarah Hadland), it follows her rather unlucky life decisions whilst she is pining after her love interest, friend and cook Gary (Tom Ellis). Curled up on the couch with a warm cuppa and a chocolate biscuit, you won’t want to move until after watching at least 3 episodes.

      5. The Vampire Diaries

tvd

I’ve left this show until last as I haven’t completed my binge watching of this yet. I’m still yet to watch Seasons 4 and above, as I’m only on Season 3, however I can say I am thoroughly enjoying this series a lot. I’ve never caught onto the whole ‘Vampire’ or ‘Werewolf’ craze, I’ve never read Twilight and even though I enjoyed the films I wasn’t a massive fan. I feel that The Vampire Diaries doesn’t progress as quickly as others like it, which in my opinion is a positive as you don’t feel that it’s as cliche and you can invest yourself into the storylines better. Even if you aren’t a fan of the supernatural type characters, give this one a try you might be surprised.
